FAQs

What is a Progressive Tournament?

A tournament where each entry fee grows the total purse. Rank payouts are a percentage of the purse. You join a tournament on the PHT platform, enter your PnL and trade from your own brokerage account.

Why can't I enter a Progressive Tournament?

Certain USA states and foreign domiciles prohibit user entry to comply with legal requirements. Please do not deposit funds or join a PHT tournament if you are located in the following states: AZ, AK, CO, FL, HI, IA, LA, MD, NE, ND, OK, SC, TN, VT, or UT. PHT may add or prohibit tournament entry locations as deemed appropriate.

What are PHT credits?

PHT credits are the platform's virtual currency. Your deposit is automatically converted to PHT to transact on the platform. There is a conversion rate from USD or your local currency to PHT. Please check the platform for the current conversion rate. Platform withdrawals from PHT to your local currency are also subject to the conversion rate.

What are tournament rules?

Tournament rules include: the security to be traded, the timeframe of the tournament and the max dollar amount allowed to enter a trade. There are no limits on the number of trades that can be made during the tournament. Both winning and losing trades complying with tournament rules will count towards your total tournament PnL. Winners are determined by total profit or loss. Note: If you enter an options tournament, you must trade the designated security option but any expiration is acceptable as long as you comply with max trade entry dollar amount tournament rules. For example, if you enter a SPY options daily tournament, you can trade SPY ODTE or any daily or weekly expiration desired.

What is the deadline to join or withdraw from a tournament?

You can join a tournament any time prior to the entry deadline. You can withdraw from a tournament and receive a full refund any time prior to the entry deadline. You may not withdraw from a tournament after the entry deadline and all entry fees are final and non-refundable.

When must I complete my KYC?

KYC is not needed to compete in a tournament but is required for prize eligibility and withdrawal.

What is Stripe Identity verification?

Stripe Identity is the third-party service we use to verify your government-issued ID. From your Account page, click "Verify with Stripe" to start a secure session hosted by Stripe. You'll be asked to photograph a driver's license, state ID, or passport and take a selfie so Stripe can match your face to the document. Stripe handles the document review — we never see or store the raw ID image. Most verifications complete within a few minutes; some may take longer if Stripe needs to manually review. Your status on the Account page updates from "processing" to "verified" once Stripe confirms a match. Stripe Identity is required for prize eligibility and withdrawals.

What is Stripe Connect and why do I need to set it up?

Stripe Connect is the payout rail we use to send your winnings and withdrawals to a real bank account or debit card. From your Account page, click "Set up payouts" and you'll be redirected to Stripe Connect Express onboarding, where you'll provide your legal name, address, date of birth, tax information (e.g. SSN for US users), and the bank account or debit card you want payouts to land in. Stripe holds this information directly — we only see your account status, not your full banking details. You only need to complete this once; after that, withdrawals from your PHT wallet route through your connected account. If Stripe later asks for additional documents (common during their compliance review), you'll see a "Continue onboarding" link on your Account page.

I didn't get my email verification — what should I do?

Verification emails sometimes land in your spam, junk, or promotions folder, especially on first sign-up. If you don't see it in your inbox within a minute or two, check those folders and mark the message as "Not spam" so future emails arrive normally. You can also click "Resend verification email" on the verify page to trigger a new one. Make sure you signed up with the correct email address — typos in the address are the most common reason a verification email never arrives. If it still doesn't show up after a few minutes and a resend, contact support.

How is my trade data "verified"?

Trade verification confirms your stated PnL during a live tournament against your PnL from your uploaded trade confirmation.

What is the trade confirmation upload deadline?

Four (4) hours from the end of the tournament. It is advised that you blackout your account number when you submit a trade confirmation. Make sure the name on the confirm matches your KYC or additional information may be requested for verification. If you miss the confirmation upload deadline you will be deemed unverified and forfeit the entry fee and any prize won. Traders close to in-the-money prizes (ITM) but currently out-of-the-money on the live leaderboard are encouraged to upload their trade confirmations as traders above you may not be able to successfully verify and you may move into an ITM rank and win a prize.

Uploading your trade confirms or transaction history data

It is advised you send us a daily or weekly transaction summary report to minimize the number of uploads required. You may upload individual daily confirms/transaction history or weekly confirms/transaction history. Ensure you have all securities and trade dates covered in your trade confirm or transaction history. Verification is based only on the trade data we receive and may change your PnL and prize eligibility if there are differences from your stated PnL during the live tournament. We understand there may be modest changes to stated PnLs so we may make final verification adjustments accordingly.

What is the "verified" leaderboard?

The verified leaderboard including rank and prizes is posted the following business day for all trade-confirm verified entrants.

What are VIP levels?

VIP levels are based on how many tournaments you have entered (lifetime). Bronze: 1–10 tournaments, Silver: 11–20, Gold: 21 or more.

Bronze VIP — raffle tickets

For each tournament you enter in a calendar month, you earn 1 raffle ticket per tournament toward that month’s PHT giveaway.

Silver VIP — raffle tickets

For each tournament you enter in a calendar month, you earn 3 raffle tickets per tournament toward that month’s PHT giveaway.

Gold VIP — raffle tickets

For each tournament you enter in a calendar month, you earn 6 raffle tickets per tournament toward that month’s PHT giveaway.

Shareholders and raffle tickets

All shareholders receive an additional 10 raffle tickets per tournament entered toward the monthly PHT giveaway (stacking with your VIP tier).

How does PHT generate revenue?

PHT takes a percent tournament hosting fee from each gross purse at the enrollment deadline. For example, if 100 traders join a 20 PHT entry fee tournament the gross purse is 2000 PHT. If PHT takes a 20% hosting fee (400 PHT) the net purse available for prizes is 1600 PHT. Hosting fees are at the sole discretion of PHT and subject to change.
